Hello busterb, and welcome to HFT forums. Do you want the speakers for the TV or the computer? If it is the computer, then you can get a good 5.1 surround sound setup for under $100 USD. The are the Altec Lansing 251 series. I have, and love them.

Tnx. I found the speakers http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/doSearch.hmx?bop=and&scriteria=Altec+Lansing+251&UID=&CID=&Back=&n=1 Sorry this board is a little different than SAF. That looks like a good price. Still unsure how to hook up sound on tv. it has surround sound, 2 jacks on back. The 3 jacks on Mb is what has me screwed up, not sure which one to use. Guess I need to go to Sonic drive-in & ask some kid lol. Tnx. again BB Also where would be the best jack to plug my Y- adapter for headset?? B B

the instructions, will tell you everything you need to set them up. if you install them on your PC, it will have what type of sound drivers do you want installed. I used the WDM, and not the VXD. With the later drivers, the center channel never worked. With the first ones, they do. If you need any more help, feel free to ask.

Do you have a audio in on your TV? If so, you could use the headphone jack on your sound card, and plug it into the audio in jack on your TV.
