New Det's

[Pure Luck]

The 30.30's have been out for a little over a week but I just found them today. Feedback is very good on these. I just installed them and gained about 6 fps in a Q3 timedemo. I get all my det'shere (http://www.guru3d.com/files/).

I gain about 22 points on 3DMark2001SE with them over the 29.42. And that was with my usual stuff running in the background too.

same here gained about 30 over the 29.42's.

I gained about 100 points with all background stuff disabled over the 29.42 version. The score was 7150 for my system...

it's hard to beleive how addictve it is.

What is your system, MySt? I checkout your link, You only have 600 MHz on me. Wait til my new system is here. I am looking at a 2.53 Ghz with a 533 MHz frontside Bus and dropping in the TI 4600 128 MB video card. :eek: :lol: :p

yeah if ya got the 2.53ghz machine u would be whoppen sum serious butt.and the reason i am beating you wif only a 600mhz lead is becasue i have an AMD XP processor and if ya didnt know :),amd's processors do more instructions per clock cycle than intel's i think amd's do 9 while intel does 6 if i rember correctly,so an AMD running at 1600mhz is on par with a pentuim 4 running 1.9ghz(not so much with the newer 512kb L2 cache ones)

thats why there is that rating of

1600+=1400mhz
1700+=1467mhz
1800+=1533mhz
1900+=1600mhz

and so on and so fourth.

but if you look at the benchies you see a 1700+ against a 1.7ghz P4 ,the amd xp's will almost beat it in every benchy bar a few of course ,there's where the pros and cons come in with each processor.

also did you overclock your ti4600 ?not that ya need to ,just wondering and and also wondering how much it affected performance n that .

MySt, I never overclock anything. It is fine just the way it is. I run all my games at 1600 by 1200 4X 9-TAP AA. Not one of them stuuters at that rez.
