This review is based on the just released demo. I was somewhat disappointed in this demo. The game will mess up the icons setup on your desktop. A real pain to fix after every time you play this demo. The idea behind the game is very good. Recreate the major battles on-line. But the demo is only single player for now. The battle you get to fight is Tobruk in Africa. You can chose which side you want to fight on, and what weapons you want to use. There are places to get more ammo, and to up your health after you have taken a few rounds. ( I don't mean drinking either ) There are tanks and infantry that will attack you and your sides position. You are to defend the bases at all cost. If you are killed, you will respawn in the game after a set amount of time. Plus you will have to chose where you want to respawn at too.

The sound for this game, was dropping out altogether from time to time. when the sound was working, it was not that good. They could have done better with this. Maybe the full version will be a lot better. The different sounds for the weapons and tank leave a lot to be desire.

There are several different types of soldiers that you can chose from, Much like RTCW. They each have their opwn advantage and disadvantages. You will have to see what works for you in what level you are playing in. The maps look nice, and have different hills and valleys, so it is a little hard to see the enemy coming.

I see that it has been pushed back till 9/24/2002. That is only two months from now. just keep practiceing on the old UT, so you are ready to play when you get it.

well actully UT and UT2K3 will be alot different .you have your double jump in UT2K3 ,all the guns a a little diff , only fire 3 rockets this time, new sniper rifel(lightning gun) takes time to recharge meaning more time in between shots and it also reveals your postion as it lights up the screen like a fire cracker(hate that sumtimes i like to stealh around)when you shoot, and also a fair few other changes , what da you think about Bombing Run?? Alot of teamwork will be needed for this one.
i reckon it could be fun just depends how it is,but from what it sounds like ,looks good.

i expect it to be alot diff :).

i think the long wait for this game has killed my excitement.well not the long wait but the expectation of it coming out every week since june.after a while you jus dont expect it to come out ,so you lose the excitment and lose interest in the game.

well thats my morning babble.

had a quick 10 minute go before tech this morning,i actully like what i seen, needed a cople if more bots in there though, and i still dont know what the objective was lol,to get the most kills or take the most land.jumped in a tank and cruised around for a bit, which was fun.

it is much like i said ,operation flash point meets medal of honour.

i had none of the bugs you talked about but i seen a coupel of diff ones, game crashing while changing res's while playing.and dead bodies stuffin up when you run over them.

has alot of potential online if , they can get enough players in the one game. 64 would be great. but i would never be able to play on it.
