Hmmm, I know that Sarni is in Australia and she's exactly 12 hours different than me, and Killer and I are in the same time zone. Does that mean that Jeff is 12 hours different, or 14 hours different? Gawd, this is so confusing! :confused: ;) :lol:

well i think Sarni is 1and1/2 hours behind me ,thinking that she lives in western australia.


so roughfly 14hrs i think. when i play with pckiller ,when it's his morning time 10:00 am to 12pm and it is around 12:00am to 2am here.

(which is good for me becuase i get lower pings with the low amount of traffic).

Jeff...I still got your ICQ # if it's the same! I've got MSN, MIRC & AIM as well....egads all those messengers....I'm still too leary to try Trillian. I play mostly in the morning when I get home from work...or nights..late..late when I'm off work.

I loved SOF..got it along with UT bundled with my sound card.

There is the ongoing "which is better Quake or UT"....lol I played the Q3TA demo and it was cool..but I guess I just fell into the UT crowd.

BazZ your still on a modem right?well if ya are ,this game has the sweetest netcode eva(well that i have witnessed ),the guy's that done deserve a pat on the back , my ping averages from 350-500+ and the game is still very playable 90% of the time,which has kept me playing it really,i quit RTCW becuase i was sick of getten fragged becasue i was lagging so much and had to predict where the enemy was goign to go before shooting to allow for the lag,this game i actully can aim for headshots and so on and so fourth.
the single player missions of SoF II are playable but not the best,this game was planned to be single player only ,they would be thanking there lucky stars they added multiplayer.

lol u never know we might have Clan {HFT} going soon.

Sounds good to me.

Bazzvax, SOF 2 Is both single and mutli player. Single you get you use to the weapons and that. On line is where the fun is that.

Yes, I want all upgrades. Where can you get it? I got the patch, and there are also new maps to frag on too. Plus a lot more servers with it too.

DAMM all u peeps wif cable ,lol j/k , i m signing up for some new "GISP" ,Gamers internet service provider,cheaper than my current isp and they say the promise very low pings and alot of game servers to play on so i thought why not give it a whirl for a month.

There are a lot of the servers that have upgraded to the new version, so that is why the servers were disappearing from the older version.

You and me both pal. So of the maps are from the single player game. Like Hong Kong Streets. I remembered that level was I was able to get around not to bad.

I am trying to find out why my hosted games are not showing up on the master server. Trying different settings on my firewall.

I have been trying to get my hosted games to show up on SOF 2 Master Server. This is the server that shows all of the hosted games. I have changed some of my settings in the firewall, so maybe it will work now.

yeah Bazz sniper and shock are my fav wepaons in UT.
cause sniper doesnt really have to use the zoom if ya have good aim.


and the shock is just the best weapon ever.

i luv jus running shock comboing everywhere lol.


yeah well try that server again in a little while any bets my ping to you is like 1000.

well i hope the prob fixes it self soon , i've gone trhough about 10 reboots and 20 reconnects.

Got my hosted games to show up on the master server. Next time I get on, and find you in there, I will tewll you I am setting up a hosted game. All you have to do is use find a friend. It should show you my hosted game.

man i can't rember how many times now i've been kicked of a server for my high ping , it's actully starting to get annoying.

was meant to get ADSL about 3 months ago, but just didnt end up happnening ,wasnt worth what they were charging becuase of the limit.

just worrying about playable ping as in around 500 for me its playble if i get over the 700 mark it starts to get a bit unplayble :).

Have been trying to find you all day. I got me a new sound system for my computer. It is one of those 5.1 versions. 5 Speakers and a powered sub-woofer. Now I can tell if someone is trying to come up from behind me. I will be doing my wash, and should be done by noon or a little later.

i play with headphones now ,they are the best i think, no distractions of surrounding sounds.

OK gang...I broke down and got it! Not as impressive as I had hoped for...why can't any game run as smooth as UT :p

What part of the game is not running smoothly for you? Myst and I are not having any troubles with it.

I think it is just getting used to the screen...I'm used to a very smooth flow of action/movement with UT. The jumping and strafing seem to be a bit shaky for me! I haven't done any tweaking so who knows. The game runs off of OpenGL.....and the game message says it's sets the card for best play.....I run Detonator drivers for my GF2 MX 400 32MB though ;)

Other things...I play with a "fov" of 115 in UT...makes things run a little faster (appears to anyways)...the relationship of the weapon view etc.

I don't think I have any real tech problems...just gotta get used to the gameplay...ever since I found UT I've become very lazy about using a bunch of keys...LOL

sweet bazz :). lol yeah i find myself trying to dodge in all FPS games after playen UT for a while.
