how to get handles to all open windows?

How can i obtain the handles to all windows that are currently in the taskbar(both minimized and maximized)..is it possible to close them , after getting the handle and how ? also, how can i obtain the title of those windows (for eg, if we open the notepad the title will be "Untitled - Notepad" before saving) ?
please help me...

I know that there are MFC functions that you can use, however I've never done any windows development myself. Someone here probably has experience with that sort of thing, though. You might try the <a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/" target="_blank">MSDN</a> site and do a search.
