I have searched all over the net, all I can find are ones for java. I need one for c/c++. If someone can point me in a general direction to where I can find one, I would be quite happy.

Wow, you're right manunkind, they have quite a few disassemblers (http://www.programmersheaven.com/zone5/cat460/index.htm) there.
Good link, thanks!

MF, did you ever find a disassembler/decompiler you liked? What was it?
Just curious . . .

To be, or not to be . . .
Wait, what was the question?

To be honest, I've never really used a disassembler very much - oh I've played around with some - but nothing serious. However, I have used assembly language debuggers by Borland, Microsoft, and D86. It just all depends on what you're trying to do. Are you trying to learn assembly? Or do you want to take an existing program and modify its executable? Or are you trying to dig out some hard-coded text that's buried in an executable?
Just about any disassembler will be very instructive. By the time you learn how to really do something with it, you'll know if it meets your needs, and you'll know the questions to ask about the next one you try.
Dive in and experiment!
