I think it is so they can get an Idea of those who use it and also controls the amount of folks on their site. The fact you have to sign in lets them control the numbers on the site at any given time. I could also just be completly wrong too LOL http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/grin.gif.

A good site for vid-card drivers is http://www.3dchipset.com/default.asp
Easy to find what you're looking for.

Well, adding to the list, I thought I would toss in Drivers Headquarters (http://www.drivershq.com/).

Well, if we're still tossing in sites - I'll recommend www.driverzone.com. (http://www.driverzone.com.) Some tutorials/guides and utilities are also available at the site (recently added features). Been a fave of mine ever since my first computer -- ahh, my lovely 486 with 16 megs ram and a whopping 250 meg hd. {sigh}

Hey, starcommander, thanks for the reminder. I haven't been there in a while, but it's nice to know they are still doing good work! :) I've merged your message with an existing one to keep things simple. ;)
