After reading the newest post on the For sale page, it made me think of this link I have used quite a bit since moving to Alberta from the States. Might come in handy for some of us if it gets busy on the other page. Currency Converter (http://www.xe.net/ucc/)

Thanks, Pure Luck. Even with the conversion, the mb & cpu Gnaw is selling is still a great bargain. Now how about those border duties?

It just needs to be classified as a gift when filling out the customs form. The value can still be noted but if he's making a gift of it, no duties should be charged when you pick it up. That's been my experience at least. I had to actually pay 15 bucks to pick up some birthday gifts sent to my daughter that weren't listed as gifts when shipped from the U.S. They just listed the contents and value and I had to pay duty tax on it all. But if it's listed as a gift, they will not charge duty tax.

Since a lot of people take vacations this time of year, I thought this might come in handy.
BTW - if you enjoy snow and enjoy its related activities, Ottawa, Canada, has more than its share. The ski, snowboard & ski-doo industry is having a great time right now and Winterlude started this week-end.
