I just got an ELSA Erazor X-card (with Geforce 256 on it) and wanted to put it on my GA-6BXC Gigabyte-Board (Slot 1, PII 400, Intel 440 BX). No chance! It doesnīt work.
Only with 640x480 under Win 98. People told me, that it is a regular problem, that many Gigabyte-boards canīt supply the Geforce 256 with the power that is needed to let it work correctly. My decision is now to buy a new board. But which?!
Can anyone tell me what Slot 1-board is useful to let the Erasor X work normal. And it shouldnīt be expensive. Please help me!

Asus (http://www.asus.com/) and Abit (http://www.abit.com.tw) are two of the best. You will have your choice of the Intel or VIA chipset on either brand, it just depends on the model. I personally would stick with the Intel chipset but that's just my opinion.
