Have an Abit BE6 M/B . Have followed the flash instructions exactly as outlined by ABIT including booting to dos with a system diskette with the two files from Abit. A:\>awdflash be6_th.bin /py /sn /cc /cd
Everything looks good during the process and I am left with a choice of F1 Reset or F10 exit. I've tried both and I still get a message on rebooting I still have the 08/24/99 bios version .

Any Ideas folks. I believe on some M/B in the past a jumper needed to be removed , but there is no mention of a jumper . This M/B has the Soft Menu II jumper system.

Am about to upgrade to a P III 800 100 mhz FSB Slot 1 . But first need to update the bios.

Thanks in advance

The instructions I see on Abit's site refers to this command line
A:\>awdflash be6_th.bin /cc /cd /cp /py /sn /cks /r_
which is slightly different than what you posted. You might want to double check that. Also, if you have an option to save the existing bios to the floppy, save it. Then if things go screwy, you can hopefully flash that one back in. Make sure you follow all the instructions to the letter.

You've also posted this message in the Hardware forum which is the appropriate location. I'll move this thread and close the duplicate one (it has no responses there yet).

Welcome to helpfromtechs. Hope to see you visiting often. Good luck with the bios prob.
