I'd like to hear from anyone who has any experience with this videocard.
I read a positive review in MaximumPC magazine (last months', the Home Entertainment issue).
Apparently, using the card and your cable TV, you can record a 2-hour show onto less than 5 gigs of space, full-screen MPEG 2.
Camcorder editing is also possible with all of the features included.
Before I rush out and buy something like this ($400 in Canada), I'd like to get some feedback. http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I'm really happy with mine. I have not used it's full capabilities. It works great with what I've been using it for though (mostly games, DVD's, and misc. media). I really haven't had time to connect it to my TV/Cable/VCR or receiver.

I've been checking out the alt.comp.periph.videocards.ati newsboards.
There are alot of people complaining about stuff there, but I guess if you get everything working right, you wouldn't be posting anyway! http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
I'm going to wait for a couple weeks, and review the comments there... using THEIR experiences to try to judge how easy it will be for ME to install. http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Well, I did it!
I took the plunge and upgraded to an All-in-Wonder card. http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
It seemed that many of the people who had serious issues (on the newsgroup I was reading) were using Athlons or had Via chipsets.
My comp is a Pentium 3 800, with 192 megs RAM, and a pair of 7200rpm drives, so I felt ready! http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif
I did the old card swap, installed the new drivers, and installed the ATI multi-media software.
I stuck my co-ax cable into the back, and I was watching Seinfeld!

One of the features, like TV-on-Demand, I can't get working right, but I'm not concerned about that one. (TV-on-Demand simply pauses a program you're watching so you can anwer the doorbell without missing anything. When you unpause, you continue watching where you paused while the program is recording to your drive.)
I have recorded TV programs unattended using one feature. You can't save too many though, each half-hour uses a gig! (I'm learning a little about compression right now) http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Any questions, I'll be glad to help.
