P2 overclocking

i'm running P2-450 .... just bid on a 2nd cpu on ebay.


so, anyone ever overclock these baby's? how do they respond?... I'm not goint to try it till I hear from a few people.

Using the soyo D6IBA board.

Don`t know about the o\c. Heard that they are multiplier locked. Since your board supports 100MHz FSB you could move up to the P3. You will probably have to flash the bios and install updated board drivers.JT.

You can always use a program like SoftFSB if the multiplier is locked, the program seems to work on most comps, just dont let it overheat. =)

this is an older Soyo D6IBA 2AA motherboard

...the bastards quit making bios updates right when P3 came out,,, so ther is no updage to go to P3

That sucks but as I said you can OC using a program - SoftFSB to change the FSB... -)

Go to www.overclockers.com/ (http://www.overclockers.com/) and scroll down on the left to "cpu database". Tons of oc'ing info on that site. Good luck.
