CDROM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CDRom door is stuck closed and at any time you can hear it seek with the light on and then it repositions the task bar. I`m going to change it but would like to know if there is anything else I should check. Thanks.JT.

If its just a CDRom drive I would go buy a new one unless it was a nice one. Do you have any idea how it happened?

Some cd's have a little round hole in the face usaly near the eject button this is an emerincy eject button just take a paper clip and push it straight into the hole. Hope this helps.

There is no release hole on it. I think it just bit the dust. Will yank it this weekend. Hope I don`t need the welding helmet or the elbow length gloves. I just did not understand about the task bar.JT.

Swapped it out w\o complications. Corrected the moving the taskbar problem. Just a def cdrom.JT.
