Hi, After using this CDR for several years with good results, yesterday I got the BSOD when trying to record a program onto a cd.
I got the following error codes:

OE : 0028 : 00000001
OD : 0246 : 016747FB
OD : 0246 : 016741EA
OD : 09ef : 016775BC
OE : 0187 : BFF8E64B

I moved the cables up to my DVD drive and it worked ok. I reinstalled the motherboard drivers but no change.

Any one had this problem?? I am running windows ME and the old cd had been working fine. Now have a new HP CD-RW and have the same problem. BSOD as soon as cd spins up.

Thanks, mac

Check the dma settings in properties for the drives. I don`t remember any bsod but mostly freezes. But it is worth a try.JT.

Jaturp, I checked them and set them to dma but didn't make any difference.

Think I will call it a day and turn this machine off. This is the machine that has the CDR problem but runs fine aotherwise.
will check back in the morning.

Hi all, Well I got my problem fixed. First of all I deleted all my Adaptec files and programs, then installed Adaptec 3.0 delux, Then got the updates from Roxio which then gave me 3.5c. At this point everything works. I am sure glad that is over as I can now get to the things I really wanted to do.

Thanks for the help.
