Hi-

I have a question about Outlook Express 5. I have a new computer and would like to transfer my old messages off my old computer to the new one. I've tried searching my old computer for .ibx and .mbx folders but have come up empty handed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated - thank you!

Look for *.dbx files.

Oh, and welcome to the board Kristina.
(Sorry, manners elude me when I know the answer to something)

Messages will be in *.dbx files (as Pure Luck says) by default here:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{longe code number here}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

(miss out the "identities" part if you're only running 1 Outlook identity.)

If you use Windows desktop logins, look here
C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\"login name"\Application Data\Identities\{coded number}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Address books (contacts) will be in a *.wab file in:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

these are the default locations (can be changed)

This (http://orangeair.webprovider.com/product_info/index.htm) may help also. I haven't tried it so I don't know how well it works.
