Are you referring to MS Outlook? You dont have to upgrade, and although I heard some positive feedback about it, I havent tried it.

Do you mean Outlook Express 5?
Outlook Express comes with Windows and is free, Outlook 2000 come with Microsoft Office. If you only use it for email, stick with Outlook Express 5. If you need to keep track of tasks, shcedules, appointments, etc, then consider Outlook 2000. Then you can decide if you want to buy just Outlook 2000 or one of the Office 2000 suites.

Yes MS Outlook Express 5.I have th works suite 2000 but I don't have it installed.I was wondering what the difference was.Is one more secure than the other and if 2000 is do you have to buy it at a store?I looked at the Windows site but wasn't able to find a download for it or price. Also I am using IE 5.5 which when you upgrade to it it comes with MS Outlook 5.All of mu previous versions of IE 5 came with MS Outlook Express 5.Do they update MS Outlook Express 5 each time or is it still the same?

Outlook 2000 can be used for POP3 and Microsoft Exchange Server. You can find it at most Office Depot type places or Staples. It's more secure than Express if you apply all the patches but you still have to take the same pre-cautions as you would with any email program. If security is your main concern, you may want to consider Netscape or Eudora mail. I don't think they are as big of a target but still again, you have to use common sense and discretion.

And if you are really worried about security then maybe a web-based secure email site is what you want... http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
