View Full Version : Alter Bios for Intel Pro PC Camera?????

Running Me-1.2GHz AMD Athlon processor-256MB RAM.
Intel's Pro PC Camera program would freeze after taking a snapshot within their program. Would have to do an end task on the program. However using the snapshot Icon on the desktop worked OK. Was told by Intel that I needed to configure a 2 second delay on the Hard drive in the Bios. They said the Processor and that much Ram was to much for their program to handle. Something about the cache not having time to empty. Does this make sense?? http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/confused.gif
To late to take the camera back and of course I suggested to Intel they develope a patch for the fast processors etc. The Tech was supposed to call me back today but you know how that goes. (The check is in the mail). http://www.helpfromtechs.com/ubb/smilies/rolleyes.gif
Would appreciate your comments. Thanks

If using the take-a-snapshot icon on the Desktop works ok, then No, their proposed solution doesn't make any sense. Sounds to me like the take-a-shapshot routine from within the program has a bug in it.
