I have the free version of Zone Alarm and I have always passed tests like Sheilds Up without any leaks being detected. Now I just tried LeakTest and it said that LeakTest was able to connect to the main GRC.com Web server.

I just set my Windows Internet Options security Level to the highest setting it would go and tried LeakTest again. It still penetrated my firewall.

What I don't understand is that neither of these "penetrations" show up in my Zone Alarm alert log.

Now what do I do to protect my computers, and my own, privacy?

Sorry, false alarm.

Zone Alarm did ask me if I wanted to allow LeakTest to access the Internet and I thought that allowing it was part of the test. Well, it was but the real test was to deny it access. When I did that, then it proceeded to tell me that my system was not breached and that I did the correct thing by denying it access. Then I was supposed to allow it access just to make sure it was performing correctly.

So, I guess my computer is pretty secure after all. As long as I don't do something stupid like allowing something access when I shouldn't!
