Try this. Close IE and go to Start > Run, and run the following commands one after the other, each line followed by 'enter':

regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 comcat.dll
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll (for winme/2000/XP)
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdoc401.dll (for win95/98)

Run each line individually. After each run, you should see a short message stating the command was successful. Now reboot.

If that doesnt work and you are running Win98, go here (http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/mcrepair.EXE) and download and run mcrepair.exe.

Hi The Dude,

It wouldn`t hurt to try it.
The commands simply re-registers critical .dll files as command components in the registry.

Cheers

I have discovered what my problem is...

I have my cookies set to prompt (1st and 3rd party) and it seems like something gets jammed every so often and when i try and goto a site it just sits there,if i change my settings to 'ALLOW 1ST PARTY COOKIES' and then goto the site that doesnt load,it loads straight away.....

I used to think closing my browser was the only way that it would work, until the other day when i was looking @ it closer......

I may change my setting to 'BLOCK 3RD PARTY COOKIES' & Allow 1st party cookies. (Only thing is i might not want some sites cookies if i just happen to browse an unknown site (1 i am just visiting))

Definetly good finding out though :)
