Good day,
We have a Jane's combat sim that used to run on our old P166MMX, we recently got a new PC, P4 2.4 ghz, 512 ram, 128 mb graphics card, we installed the sim and expected great thing from graphics, sound and game play. However, what happens is, after approx. 2 mins of flying the program just shuts down, no error messages nothing.
Is there a cause or fix for this?
Thank you

Are you running XP for your OS? Some of the older games do not work well on XP.

Did you biuld that system yourself? Cause it is a little odd for a Pc like that one to ship with Windows 95B. Or did you format the drive and install it yourself?
Also, I think that the newer versions Direct X might be the problem with the older game like that. Just a guess thou. Did you try to contact the game maker for advice? Maybe they could help.

Good Morning,
The PC running win 95 is 5 years old.
My new one is running win 98 se, with direct x 8 ( I believe).
I have tried to contact Jane's to no avail.
I'm thinking it might be to our advantage to purchase a newer flight sim, anyone have any thoughts which one is good and similar to the navy flight sim of Jane's. Hubby likes the whole carrier f14 thingy.
Thank you
Jayne
